Can we teach our dog to not chase our chickens?
Dog got our chicken and pulled out a bunch of feathers- can a chicken go into shock easily and die? Our chicken is really docile and let the dog pick her up, the problem is that now that the dog has had a taste for her- will he try to eat her, or is this just a dog thing?

I think you can....
....but you'll need to have a lot of patience to get the dogs to see the chickens as part of the "pack" and not as prey. I'm doing this now with our new kitten. He's so small that he's seen as a rodent by the dogs. I'm following the rehabilitation tips being used by Best Friends in retraining the former Michael Vick fighting dogs. I give lots of treats as long as they behave in front of the kitten, then stop any attention at all if they start to treat him as "prey" (and then separate them). It seems to be working. The last time my sight hound had free access to the kitten, he licked him!
