Grieving the loss of our 16 year old cat
We are grieving for our cat and I just dont know how to get over it.
I know that loss is loss- right, but the cat isnt a human, therefore I should be able to get over it. Its been a week and I cant seem to find a smile.
I feel like if I adopt another cat I am disrespecting him! Yet, I think it might make me feel better.
Anyone out there, anyone at all. I need someone to talk to about this.

Grieving the loss of your cat
My sympathies to you in the loss of your cat. We recently lost our beloved cat to kidney failure and not only was it difficult for us but for our dog and other cat as well. We still miss him dearly but like every loss it does get easier as time passes on. There is never a replacement for our animals, just another unique one to love.
