Home Insurance Premiums with Large Dogs

Hey all, I am shopping for home insurance, and the question keeps coming up whether or not I own a dog such as Pitt Bulls, Rottweilers, Dobermans and pretty much any other breed that has gotten bad press. I have intentions on adopting a Red Nose Pit Bull after I move in. The question is, how much will my insurance premiums go up? What happens if I don't disclose the information after I get the dog? Are there any insurance companies that do NOT raise premiums because of these pets? Any information in this field would be highly appreciated. I would just ask my insurance company, but I would rather not clue them off to anything I don't have to!
