
After discovering that her teenage son was using drugs, Debra Holmes co-founded Sniff Dogs with a friend to help other parents discreetly determine whether their children might be hiding drugs in their rooms.
"Parents think it's about cops busting into the house, as on TV, but it's not much different to a termite inspection," she said. "It's often a five-minute process as these dogs are so quick."
They use Labradors and Alsatians who are trained to sit once they smell drugs, including heroin, cocaine, crystal meth, ecstasy, and of course marijuana.
