
Thousands of pet owners affected by the pet food recall of tainted food from China are set to receive a combined settlement of $32 million which allows them to apply for reimbursement of expenses associated with this tragedy.
A contentious part of the settlement is the lack of funds awarded for pain and suffering. "How do you answer the statement on the claim form, what was the value of your pet?" she asked. "My companion was everything in the world to me." said Donna Elliot of Fries, Virginia.
