Pets that take meds live longer

The market for pet medications was $5 Billion in 2007 and is forecast to grow to $8 Billion by 2012. As pets live longer due to better diets and health care this aging population needs medications to prevent the ailments of old age.

"Even more important perhaps, longer lives mean ever stronger emotional bonds between pets and their owners, and thus an increased willingness among pet owners to do whatever it takes to keep their pets healthy and happy for as long as possible."
