Gus, fighting cancer when he won this summer's ugliest dog contest at the Sonoma-Marin Fair, has died. His owner planned on using the prize money for radiation treatments, but the nine-year-old Chinese crested dog, with one eye and three legs, was not able to get past his illness to win another contest next year.
