
Despite a few people thinking that we should be helping only humans in the current financial crisis, a soup kitchen in Berlin Germany has opened that caters to our down and out furry friends as well.
"Nowadays people underestimate dogs. They are incredibly important for those who lack social contact with other humans," said Claudia Hollm the shelter Director. "Making sure dogs don't go hungry is just as important as making sure that people don't starve," she added.
