Time to pay attention to pet scofflaws

Just because you love a pet or exotic creature, it does not give you the right to ignore the law concerning dangerous or protected animals.

A story in Winnipeg has made international headlines recently when a deadly West African gaboon viper bit its owner's face, the venom of this deadly snake, which boasts the longest fangs and greatest venom yield of any African snake, can kill a human within minutes of a single strike. Fortunately the owner received medical attention within minutes to avert what could have been a fatal accident.
